When Juana Verger decided to create Es Garrover de Mallorca, her family was surprised. For three generations, the family business has been dedicated to the production and transformation of locust beans, intended for animal consumption.
However, Juana, honouring her enterprising, creative and passionate character, is clearly determined to carry out her own project: growing, processing and selling organic Mallorcan carob intended for human consumption.
The director of a bank for more than 11 years and with 19 years of experience in the financial sector, her dream has always been to dedicate herself to the sector in which her family has developed, but with a clear vocation to reorient the business focus and to dignify the product and the industry, thus showing her love for the product, for her land and for the people who work it.
Thus, in 2015 this dream gave birth to Es Garrover de Mallorca, a young company with solid and clear values, which anchors a project aimed at promoting sustainable cultivation, not only at the level of production, but also at the level of resource management. A project aware of the need to actively participate in the social integration of groups with special needs. A project, in short, with a clear collaborative vocation, which wants the industry to which it belongs to be an even better industry.
